Computed tomography of cervical lymph nodes

CT is a non-invasive means of visualizing the major lymph node bearing areas in the head and neck region. Even though similar CT observations can be seen in both benign and malignant disease, correlation with history and clinical findings and the use of basic knowledge of modes of disease spread are helpful in making an appropriate diagnosis.
